Several masks were faulty, and I was fortunate to have brought my own gear. Another guest had specifically requested prescription goggles on their sign-up form but wasn't provided with them for the dive.

**Safety Concerns**
The semi-cave swim was particularly worrying. Participants were rushed through in single file with both instructors positioned at the front, leaving no one to monitor the group from behind. There was no safety briefing beforehand and no headcount when we emerged.

**Recommendation**
For a beginner-friendly operation, there needs to be significantly more emphasis on both environmental protection and diver safety. The care for marine life and coral preservation should be the top priority for any dive operator.

I'm not sure if they ever did a head count before moving off because I didn't see them do it which can be really dangerous if someone was accidentally left behind. I also found it strange that the paying customers were not allowed to leave the boat and had to wait for them to unload all the stores before we could go. Bad experience here. Though, the view was beautiful and the photos and videos were free.

昨年ネット検索でトップに出てくるお店に頼んで半日コースの青の洞窟へ行ったところ、韓国人でびっしり。何待ちかわからない待ちだらけ、漁船でダイビングスポットへ向かうも水中は魚より人間観察のようだし、ようやく見つけた魚は黒いのばかり。機材も古く咥えるところが大きくて上手く口呼吸が出来ず苦しくなり不完全燃焼…集合場所も二転し、慣れない土地で早朝に走る数少ないバスを探し、自力で向かうも反対側に乗込み、港に着く前から既にげっそり、帰りは着替えるところがなく水着で現地解散。バスタオルは各自持参なので濡れたバスタオルの重みたるや…もう懲り懲りです。
今度こそは！と、25年前の記憶を頼りに「PADI」マークのあるお店を探そうと時間をかけて検索してようやくたどり着いたこのお店。安全対策基準が十分に満たされていると認められた「安全対策優良海域レジャー提供業者」だそうです。
まず、ホテルまでの送迎があります！その分集合時間は更に早まりますが、代え難い安心感。そして、利用者に常連さんも多い。このお店に信頼を寄せている証ですよね。集まったグループから確認項目へのチェックや署名をし、ウェットスーツを着用して、体験ダイバーは機具の説明を受けたら順番に乗船。暑い港で照り付けられる時間は去年を思うと最小限でした。
機材も清潔で去年のことを考えると新しく、安全のために定期的に買い替えてるのかな？と思いました。またゴーグルに番号がふってあるのでその日1日自分用のマウスピースを使えるよう工夫されていました。
船は漁船ではなく、二階建てで、中にトイレがふたつあります。1階部分にいればいい風が入って涼しいくらい。
ダイビングスポットは3ヶ所でした。去年苦しかったから不安でダイビングは1ヶ所、他はシュノーケリングにしようと思っていたのですが、スタッフの方達の説明や引率が上手で安全に楽しめたので、もう1ヶ所潜ることにしました。60センチほどの亀が人間を恐れることなく泳いでいて、スタッフさんの手慣れた誘導によりわたしたちの頭や身体に擦れるような至近距離で泳いでくれます。水族館で見る亀は苦手ですが海で触れ合う亀は愛おしく貴重な体験が出来ました。魚も色とりどりで、ここまで来て良かったー！と何度も思わせてもらえました。
バスタオルは全員分用意されており、使用後に返却するスタイル。
帰港後はスタッフさん総出で大量のボンベをや機材一式を下ろし（テキパキのムダのない動きと筋肉が素晴らしい）、代金を払い終えた人から下船します。朝の迎えの時と同じ車に同じメンバーで乗込み、運転するスタッフさんを待つ時間はやや長く感じましたが、エアコンの効いた車内からテキパキと必要な作業をしているのが見えるので不快な気持ちにはなりません。
